There would be great concern from
most people when hiring or leasing to someone that was
later discovered to have been previously convicted of
drug trafficking and spent a year in prison. You can
always argue for certain positions and circumstance that
would permit a second chance. However, you should be
given that option ahead of time, not after the fact.
All creditors and employers have a right to assess the
probable risks of any person applying for a room for rent, part time employment
or a full time career.
For only a few dollars, don't hesitate to know your
applicant before making a commitment that may cost you thousands in damage or
legal fees.
